Meet Jim

....
Welcome to my leadership portfolio. As a Grad
student and servant-leader in training, I am
in the final stage of completing my Masters degree
in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University
located in Spokane, WA.
My leadership vision
As a servant-leader in training, I am aware of the
importance of obtaining buy-in, and the ensuing
power that occurs, when people have their hearts in
the game. Organizational success is the collaborative outcome that results from personal accountability, of harnessing diversity, listening intently with full presence, and applying empathic awareness. These factors in action add up to servant-leadership credibility.
Servant-leadership is designed to maximize a leaders output by nurturing the leadership creativity in everyone on the team. For this reason, I am a believer that servant-leadership is the strategy for long-term organizational success.
Who am I?
I am a first generation Lebanese-American born and raised in California. As a disabled veteran, I served my country honorably in the United States Marine Corps; earning the Military Good Conduct Ribbon.
I live with my beautiful fiance, and near my grown children and grandchild, in the Napa-Sonoma Valley wine country region, which I have called home for the past 30 years.
For the past 16 years I have had the good fortune to supervise and work for PG&E, one of the nations largest and most recognized gas and electric utility companies. Recognized for its contributions in the areas of diversity, innovation, greenhouse gas reduction and energy efficiency. I supervise a team of gas and electric service planning and maintenance engineers. I have also supervised a local business customer service and sales team. For the first four years at PG&E I served as a government and public relations representative working with government officials, agencies, business and non-profit organizations.
I have a proud 25 year history as a community leader in public service working for the state legislature, US House of Representatives; and on many business organizations as well as charitable non-profit boards of directors. I presided over a number of local business organizations and served as treasurer for a scholarship foundation supporting students within our North Bay's black community. As a father and mentor I was very active in local youth sports.
